「競馬の距離は何が関係するの？」
「競馬の短距離レースは予想するのが難しい？」
「短距離レースを予想する時は何を気をつければいいの？」
以上のように考えている人は多いのではないでしょうか。
競馬には短距離・中距離・中長距離・長距離と大きく分けて4つのレースが存在しますが、今回は約1分で勝負が決まると言われている「短距離レースの特徴」や「短距離レースを予想する時の注意点」などを解説していきます。
この記事を読めば短距離レースで大金を稼ぐ可能性が大きくなるかもしれません。
競馬の短距離レースとは？
短距離レースの定義は厳密に決められている訳ではありませんが、基本的に1000m〜1400m未満のレースを短距離レースとされます。
別名スプリント戦とも呼ばれます。
短距離レースはエキサイティングかつ緊張感があり、もちろん競馬ファンにも興味深いレースの1つです。
競馬レースの距離
競馬のレースは以下4種類の距離の違うレースに分けられます。
・短距離
・中距離
・中長距離
・長距離
それではそれぞれの特徴と見どころについて解説していきますね
短距離
これは先ほども述べた通り1000m〜1400m未満のレースの事を短距離レースと区別されます。
スプリントと呼ばれることもあり、短距離を得意とする競走馬を「スプリンター」とも呼びます。
短距離レースは文字通りスピード勝負となってきます。
一瞬の判断なども問われるため、経験が多い馬が有利なレースです。
中距離
1800m〜2200m未満のレースの事を中距離レースと区別されます。
この距離は世界のレースでも最もスタンダードなレースです。
スタミナとスピードの両方兼ね備えていないと勝つ事が難しい距離です。
中長距離
2200m〜2800m未満のレースの事を中長距離と区別されます。
中長距離の中でも最もスタンダードなのが、2400mのレースです。
競馬初心者でも聞いたことあるような「有馬記念」や「日本ダービー」などは中長距離です。
中距離同様にスタミナとスピードの両方を兼ね備えている必要があります。
長距離
2800m以上のレースの事を長距離と区別されます。
この距離は言うまでもなくスタミナ勝負です。
前半で勝負できる馬が有利とされ、胴長でスラッとした馬が多いのが特徴です。
短距離と長距離では馬の体つきもかなり変わってきます。
短距離レースで勝ちやすい馬の特徴
短距離レースは大きな利益が出やすいと言われていますが、闇雲に馬券を購入していても的中することはありません。
短距離レースで的中するためには馬の何を見ればいいのかは下記の2点です。
・逃げや先行馬を優先的に選ぶ
・レース間隔が空きすぎていないか
まずはこの2点に注目して予想すると短距離レースでも十分に的中する可能性が大きくなります。
上記の2点をさらに詳しく解説していきます。
逃げ・先行馬
短距離レースはスピード勝負です。
なので馬脚が「逃げ」もしくは「先行」の馬を選ぶ事をオススメします。
しかし競馬ではハイペースになると馬脚が「差し」や「追い込み」の馬の方が有利と言われていますが、短距離レースの場合は「差し」や「追い込み」馬が力を発揮する前にゴールしてしまう事があります。
競馬のテレビ中継など最終コーナーで前方にいる馬を抜き去り1着なる馬の方がインパクトもあり、素人が見ても競馬の楽しさや白熱した雰囲気が伝わってきますが、短距離レースの場合ですとスタミナ不足で失速するする事も少なく、最終コーナーで抜き去る光景を見るのは珍しいくらいです。
なので、短距離レースを予想する場合は馬脚が「逃げ」や「先行」の馬を選ぶようにしましょう。
特に1番人気が「逃げ」や「先行」なのであれば積極的に参加していいと言えます。
逃げ・先行馬
次にレース間隔について紹介します。
基本的に前回のレースから半年以上期間が空いている馬は勝率がかなり下がるので注意してください。
特に地方競馬では出走した次の週にも出走するのは良くある事です。
しかし、間隔が短い馬の方が上位に食い込んでくる事もよくあることです。
それは、経験や感覚の問題でもあります。
短距離レースでは一瞬の判断が勝負の分かれ目です。
そのため、ある程度レース間隔が短い馬の方が判断能力が養われています。
短距離レースが荒れる！？
短距離なら利益が出やすいんだと思い、さっそく馬券を買おうとしてませんか？
短距離レースで大きな利益と同じくらい損をしてしまう可能性も秘めているので注意してください…
短距離は以下の3つの理由からレースが荒れてしまうと言われています。
・スタートのミスを取り返せない
・一瞬の判断で結果が変わる
・不人気の馬が活躍する可能性がある
それではそれぞれについて解説していきますね。
今から短距離レースの馬券を購入しようと思っている方はこれから解説することを理解してから購入してみましょう。
スタートのミスを取り返せない
中距離や長距離であればスタート時点で多少ミスをしたとしても後半で立て直す事も可能ですが、短距離の場合スタート時点でミスした場合、立て直す前にゴールを迎えてしまいます。
短距離レースの時間は約1分です。
1分で立て直す事は有名なジョッキーであっても至難の業だと言えます。
一瞬の判断で結果が変わる
中距離や長距離のレース以上に短距離レースは一瞬の判断が勝負を決めます。
例えば、仕掛けるタイミングであったり、ポジショニングや馬場などを一瞬で見極める判断をミスしてしまうと1着でゴールする事が難しくなってきてしまいます。
どれだけ人気の馬に乗っていてもジョッキーのミスで着順は大きく変動します。
不人気の馬が活躍する可能性がある
先ほども述べたように一瞬の判断で順位が大きく変動するため、不人気の馬でも仕掛けるタイミング、スタート、ポジショニングなどの要素が揃う事によって1着でゴールする事がかなり多くあります。
また馬脚が先行でそのまま逃げ切るパターンもよく見かけます。
まとめ
上記のことから短距離レースは荒れやすい傾向にあります。
しかし初心者の方だと
「荒れるレースが予想が難しい」
「ついつい馬券の購入金額が増えてしまう」
「結局運任せになってしまう」
このように感じている方がたくさんいます。
そのためにも下記の事を意識して短距離レースに挑むようにしてください。
・逃げや先行馬を優先的に選ぶ
・レース間隔が空きすぎていないか
まずはこの2点に注目して予想すると短距離レースでも十分に的中する可能性を広げる事ができます。
