キタサンブラック
日本を代表する演歌界のレジェンド、北島三郎氏が所有したキタサンブラックは、人々の記憶にもまだまだ新しい名馬と言えるでしょう。
遅咲きではありますが、無尽蔵とも言えるスタミナを武器に逃げと後方どちらも得意だった名馬です。
最終的にはG1で7つのタイトルを獲得し、当時獲得賞金トップだったテイエムオペラオーの記録を更新し、引退をしました。
オグリキャップ
競馬史に残るスーパースターで平成3強の1頭に挙げられるオグリキャップ。
地方競馬出身で三流の血統だった競走馬が、中央競馬に移動し連戦連勝を叩き出す事に成功。

得意不得意の競馬場がある競走馬でしたが、最終的にはディープインパクトよりも多いG1タイトル9つは堂々の歴代1位の座に君臨しています。
ダイワスカーレット
アグネスタキオンとスカーレットブーケの交配により生を授かり、これほど豪華な血統はそう多くはないと、当時の競馬ファンたちは大いに期待を膨らませたはずです。
戦績は12戦8勝で、連対率100％の成績は非のつけようがありません。
ライバルであるウオッカとは同期で、数々の名勝負を繰り広げていました。
引退レースとなった「有馬記念」で勝利を収め、1971年のトウメイ以来37年ぶりに牝馬による有馬記念の勝ち馬となったのです。
リスグラシュー
突如として覚醒し、「宝塚記念」「コックスプレート」「有馬記念」の3連勝を達成したリスグラシュー。
覚醒後に見せたパワーは当時、世界トップクラスとも言えるほどの規格外でした。
引退レースとなった「有馬記念」ではアーモンドアイに人気が集中していましたが、2着馬に5馬身差をつける圧倒的な強さを見せつけ、有終の美を飾っています。
ジェンティルドンナ
ディープインパクト産駒で最もG1タイトルを獲得したのがジェンティルドンナです。

グランアレグリアは、ディープインパクト産駒唯一の短距離G1を手にした牝馬です。
古馬になってから、短距離の才能を発揮し、4歳で挑んだ「安田記念」では当時最強であったアーモンドアイに競り勝っています。
絶望的な位置からの抜群な追い上げで勝利を手にする姿は、人々を魅了しました。
ロードカナロア
ロードカナロアを史上最強の短距離馬と呼ぶ人が多いです。
理由は、先行馬・逃げが圧倒的に有利な短距離界において、常に上がりの早い差し切りで勝利し続けていたからです。
また、当時「凱旋門賞」よりも勝つのが難しいとされていた「香港スプリント」を2回制しているのも理由の1つです。
引退後は種牡馬となり、あの歴史的名馬のアーモンドアイを輩出しています。
タイキシャトル
90年代を代表するマイラーはタイキシャルです。
史上最強のマイラーとも呼ばれています。
古馬になってからも活躍した競走馬で、日本調教馬としては初となる海外G1を達成しています。
また、外国産馬としては初となる年度代表馬にも選出されています。
クロフネ
ダートで覚醒したクロフネは、初のダート戦「武蔵野ステークス」で2着と9馬身差をつけて圧勝します。
続けて「ジャパンカップダート」も制し、「ドバイワールドカップ」も視野に入るほどの活躍を見せました。
しかし、屈腱炎を発症してしまい、「ドバイワールドカップ」を待たずして、引退する事になってしまいました。
ホクトベガ
ホクトベガは最強のダート牝馬と呼ばれる競走馬です。
初めてダートレースに参戦した「エンプレス杯」では、ダートのスペシャリストたちを相手に18馬身差のぶっちぎりで勝利しています。
その後、ダートホースとして本格的にダートに挑み、地方競馬の重賞を9つ制覇しています。
ダートの凱旋門賞とも言われる「ドバイワールドカップ」に出場しますが、悲運なことにレース中他の馬と接触があったり、体当たりを受けてしまい、予後不良となってしまいました。
