予想・購入した複数の馬の中から1着・2着に入着する馬を当てるだけで、着順までを当てる必要はありません。
なので、予想した馬が5頭だとして、その5頭のいずれかが1着・2着に入着すればその馬券は的中となります。
それ以外の買い方
ながし
ながし買いとは、「軸馬を決めて、その軸馬と相手になると選んだ馬とを組み合わせて」購入する方法です。
軸馬にするのは1〜2頭、そして相手になる馬を2〜4頭程度を決めて予想・購入をするので、単勝や複勝のような馬券にはながし買いの概念はありません。
言い換えると、ながし買いは3連単・3連複のみになります。
フォーメーション
フォーメーションとは、「1着・2着・3着になる馬をそれぞれ1頭以上選び、そこから購入可能なすべての組み合わせを購入する」購入方法です。
少し複雑なので、まずは以下の例を参照ください。
例）【1ー23ー345】
上記例は、5頭の馬を対象に予想した買い目になります。
1着に1番の馬が、2着には2・3番の馬が、3着には3・4・5番の馬が予想通りの着順に入着すれば的中です。
1着予想の馬を1頭に絞って決めればボックスやながしと比べると買い目点数を減らせるので投資金額を少なく済ますことができます。
馬連ボックスの簡単点数表
馬連ボックスでは、なによりも「頭数を絞る」ということが大事です。
あまりにも予想頭数が多くなりすぎてしまうと、その分だけ買い目点数が増えてしまい、的中しても投資金額がかさんでしまいマイナスになってしまう可能性があります。
以下は、馬連ボックスの点数をまとめた簡易表になりますので、ボックス買いをする際に、何頭選ぶと買い目はいくつになるのか？という時の参考にしてみてください。

4〜6頭の馬連ボックスにする
先述でも記述しましたが、「馬連ボックスは頭数を絞ることが重要」です。
買い目点数的に見ても、選ぶ馬が5〜6頭に絞れれば点数は10点・15点に収まります。
仮に6頭ボックスですべて100円購入した場合は、的中倍率が15倍以上であればプラス収支になりますし的中させる難易度も高くないのでおススメです。
選ぶ馬を人気順にしない
着順予想をする時は、人気順で考えて馬券を購入しないようにしましょう。
仮に、1番人気〜3番人気の馬を人気順に購入した場合、的中率だけを考えれば期待値的にも高いかもしれません。
しかし、人気が高い馬は配当金額も低いので、もしもその通りに的中したとしても配当が低く、投資金額の回収ができずマイナス収支になってしまう恐れがあるので、人気の馬以外の予想もしっかりするべきでしょう。
また、必ずしも人気順通りの結果になるわけではないのが競馬の難しい所でもありおもしろい所でもあります。
安定感のある馬を選ぶ
馬連ボックスで購入する場合は、安定感のある馬と選ぶことが重要になります。
安定感とはどういう状態のことをいうのかと言いますと、「成績やレース展開に浮き沈み(ムラ)がない」という馬のことです。
他にも、パドック中に落ち着きがなかったり、興奮している雰囲気が見られると、その後のレースにムラがでて本来の力が発揮できないことが多いので注意してください。
予想段階で、直近のレース結果や各馬の性格、その日の状態をある程度把握しておきましょう。
穴馬を1頭は入れる
穴馬と聞くと確実に当てにくいからと、つい敬遠しがちになってしまいます。
しかし、競馬界においては穴馬が2着3着に入着することも珍しくありません。
的中率・回収率を考えれば、堅実な予想も重要ですがボックス買いをするのであれば高配当にもなりやすい穴馬を予想に組み込んでみてください。

馬連ボックスの最大のメリットとしては、「2着以内には入着できるであろう馬を予想すれば良い」という点です。

予想頭数も、4〜6頭程度に絞ることができれば買い目点数が多くなりすぎることもなく、投資額を抑えつつプラス収支が狙い易いです。
もちろん、安定した的中による穏やかなプラス収支を狙う立ち回りだけでなく、時には穴馬を絡めた購入をすれば高配当も狙えます。
他にも、「初心者の人でも当てやすい」ということもメリットの1つでもありますので、競馬を始めたばかりの初心者の人には馬連ボックス買いがオススメです。
デメリット
馬連ボックスは他の買い方に比べてメリットが多いとは思いますが、やはりデメリットもあります。
特にデメリットと思う点は、「配当額が低い」ということです。
前述では高配当も狙えると言いましたが、あくまでも穴馬を予想して馬券を購入してそれが的中した時だけです。
穴馬が的中するというのは期待値や確率だけで言ってしまえば低いですし、実力差がはっきりとわかるような馬しか出走していないレースでは大穴が的中するのは極稀でしょう。
そして、的中しても配当が低いということは、仮に購入した馬券が的中したとしても投資額が回収できず「トリガミ」になってしまう恐れがあります。
トリガミには注意！！
トリガミとは、購入馬券が的中したとしても収支がマイナスになってしまうことです。
例えば、これまでに解説してきました馬連ボックスなどで10点100円購入したとしましょう。
そして、的中した配当が5倍だったとします。
投資金額が1,000円に対し、回収額は500円なので、結果は500円マイナスです。
いくら3連単などに比べて当てやすい・買い目点数が少ないと言っても、購入点数や投資額次第ではトリガミになってしまうことが結構な確率で起こります。
馬連ボックス買いは、こうしたトリガミに注意が必要ですし、ある程度は配当の高い組み合わせを絡めながら購入すると良いでしょう。
自信がある時は馬単で勝負もあり
